EC Projects & Clusters
The European Union is investing significant efforts in supporting and promoting collaborative climate change research, implemented by networks of research partners in Africa and Europe. This section provides examples of projects supported by the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes of the European Commission (EC) from the multi-disciplinary areas of climate research, including Natural Resources Management, Agriculture, Agro-forestry, Water, Energy, Health, Drought Risks, Natural Disasters Prediction, and more.
To facilitate exchanges of knowledge among (African) researchers, stimulate synergies and increase the impact through coordinated dissemination actions, EC project clusters were created by some of the FP projects, which are also presented in this section.
