Base de connaissances

La plateforme AfriCAN Climate fournit une base de connaissances sur l’adaptation au changement climatique, sur l’atténuation du changement climatique et sur les stratégies politiques en la matière. Les éléments de connaissance sont classés selon trois catégories : (a) résultats de la recherche scientifique, (b) savoirs locaux et (c) stratégies. Les connaissances recueillies dans la base de données peuvent l’être sous la forme de liens vers les sites d’autres organisations, plateformes, initiatives et réseaux, ainsi que sous la forme d’articles et de publications.

La base de connaissances sur l’adaptation au changement climatique présente des initiatives de recherche africaines et européennes dans les domaines clés suivants : eau, énergie, agriculture et pêche, sylviculture, égalité entre les sexes, santé et pauvreté.

La base de connaissances sur l’atténuation porte sur les domaines clés suivants : énergies renouvelables, utilisation et stockage efficaces de l’énergie, transport durable, aménagement urbain, gestion foncière, reforestation et lutte contre la déforestation, réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et gestion de la population.

D’autres sujets sont abordés, tels que les savoirs locaux, les stratégies, l’évaluation des risques et les outils d’aide à la prise de décision.
