Solar and Wind Renewable Energy Resources Assessment (SWERA)

SWERA is a tool developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Denver, Colorado –USA. It is based GIS application and provides the tools and data to support a variety of user communities in project planning, feasibility assessment and policy making. The user can start by selecting his/her geographic location of interest on the map displayed and clicking a country on the map, allowing him/her to search, visualize and explore the data. This tool can provide good information to decision making especially at the prefeasibility stages of project planning
To enable a decision making tool to decision makers, planners, policy makers and investors regarding the implementation of Solar and Wind Energy Systems.
This tool is applicable worldwide and provides indicators regarding intensity of the either solar and wind resources in any particular country location
